Victanis has supported Socotec to reinforce and diversify their environmental division to become the UK’s leading provider in remote monitoring and advanced geospatial solutions in Infrastructure, Utilities, Energy, Aviation and Construction with the acquisition of IETG and 40SEVEN.
IETG, experts in planning, monitoring, and measuring, are uniquely positioned to support water companies and wider stakeholders across the UK in achieving regulatory compliance. Their services, including flow surveys, water quality monitoring and sampling, pollution alarms, level monitoring, temperature and hydrogen sulphide monitoring, are instrumental in ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.
Furthermore, 40SEVEN's specialist surveying services, encompassing topographical and measured building surveys, as well as underground utility and gas hazard surveying, aligns seamlessly with SOCOTEC's existing surveying and monitoring capabilities.
Victanis initially worked with Socotec to strategically assess how and where to best improve the business’s position and portfolio, identifying IETG and 40SEVEN as key acquisition targets.
Commenting on Victanis’ support on this acquisition, Nicolas Detchepare, CEO of SOCOTEC UK, said:
"It is a continuing pleasure to work closely with Victanis again as they further cement themselves as experts in our industry and one of our key partners in our ongoing growth strategy. Their knowledge of the industry and genuine care for our success has been instrumental in this process from start to finish. Their efforts in making this transaction so efficient has meant this process has not detracted from our own focus on clients and simultaneous organic development.”
